Wisdom: A deep understanding and realization of people, things, events or situations, resulting in the ability to apply perceptions, judgements and actions in keeping with this understanding. It often requires control of one's emotional reactions (the "passions") so that universal principles, reason and knowledge prevail to determine one's actions. Wisdom is also the comprehension of what is true coupled with optimum judgment as to action. Seat: The right to occupy such a place or a ticket indicating this right. A part serving as the base of something else. A center of authority. Membership in an organization. The Wisdom Seat: Understanding the right to occupy your center of authority. I had the pleasure of being in the presence of wise people and got to observe three generations and a wisdom seat was in place. The holder of the wisdom seat is reaching the time of handing this seat over to the second generation and they said with the acknowledgement of the position comes great responsibility. The second gen is ready, trained and prepared to keep the tradition going by handing down nuggets of great information to keep its core solid.
